Product Features

The NB679AGD-Z is a fully integrated, high-frequency, synchronous step-down (buck) switch-mode converter designed by Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) with a fixed 5.1V output. It operates over a wide input supply range (5.5V to 28V) and delivers an 8A continuous and 10A peak output current in a very compact solution. It features a built-in 5V/100mA LDO that can be used to power external peripheries. The MPS proprietary Adaptive Constant-On-Time (COT) control architecture provides fast transient response and eases loop stabilization. It is equipped with Ultrasonic Mode for improved light-load efficiency and an LP# pin for low-power mode voltage scaling (down to 4.85V). Housed in a 12-pin QFN package, it includes comprehensive protection features such as OCP, OVP, UVP, and Thermal Shutdown.
