MP2659GQ-0000-Z is a highly integrated standalone Switching Charger IC developed by Monolithic Power Systems (MPS). Designed for 3-cell to 6-cell series Li-ion or Li-polymer battery packs in portable devices. Operates up to 36V DC input voltage (withstands 45V when not switching). Delivers up to 3A charge current. Supports battery regulation voltages of 3.6V/4.2V/4.35V/4.15V per cell with 0.5% accuracy. Features integrated input current sensing, Reverse Blocking FET, Internal Loop Compensation, input current limit regulation, and minimum input voltage regulation. Comprehensive protections: Battery OVP, NTC Thermal Monitor, Thermal Shutdown, Charge Safety Timer, Dead Battery Pack Recovery. Charge Operation Indicator included. Available in QFN-19 (3mm x 3mm) package. MSL 1, Tape & Reel (–Z suffix). Evaluation kit: EV2659-Q-02A. Register setting "0000" (factory default), viewable in I2C Register Map.
