Product Features 

The MP1477GTF-Z is a fully integrated, high-frequency synchronous step-down switch-mode converter with internal power MOSFETs, designed by Monolithic Power Systems (MPS). It provides a highly compact solution capable of delivering up to 3A of continuous output current over a wide 4.2V to 17V input voltage range. To minimize power loss and maximize efficiency, it utilizes internal power MOSFETs with low RDSON resistances of 58mΩ and 27mΩ. The Constant-on-time (COT) control architecture ensures very fast transient response, eases loop stabilization, and provides tight output voltage regulation. Operating with a Power Save Mode (PSM) under light-load conditions, it maximizes energy efficiency and features a very low quiescent current (Iq) of 200μA. Designed for maximum performance in confined spaces, this chip is well-suited for security cameras, digital set-top boxes, and flat-panel televisions. It includes comprehensive protection features such as short-circuit protection (SCP), over-current protection (OCP) with hiccup mode, under-voltage protection (UVP), and thermal shutdown.
