The SY8288RAC (SY8288R) is an advanced synchronous step-down DC-DC regulator designed by Silergy for laptops and high-performance power systems. Operating over a wide input voltage range, it flawlessly generates the standby and adjustable power rail voltage outputs required by the system. By featuring built-in main switch and synchronous switch MOSFETs with low RDS(ON) values, it minimizes power dissipation (conduction loss). This ensures superior energy efficiency and excellent transient response even under heavy loads. This buck converter is a critical component in laptop motherboard repairs. It includes fully integrated protection functions such as over current protection (OCP), over voltage protection (OVP), and thermal shutdown. With its compact QFN-20 (3x3 mm) package structure, it occupies minimal space on the PCB while providing maximum thermal dissipation.
