Product Features 

The IT8519E (IT8519E-CXA) is an industry-standard Embedded Controller (EC) and Keyboard Controller (KBC) IC developed by ITE Technology for notebook motherboards. Provided in an industrial LQFP-128 leaded package structure, this hardware manages basic I/O (input/output) processes such as keyboard and touchpad interfaces, power sequencing, battery charge management, and thermal monitoring (fan control, temperature sensors) on the motherboard. Due to its architectural design, it does not feature an internal programmable eFlash (Embedded Flash) memory. It operates by reading its operating commands (firmware) directly from an external EC ROM (SPI Flash) IC or the main BIOS chip located on the motherboard. Therefore, there is no need to program the chip directly using I/O programming devices after assembly. It is a standard controller used in the power management and I/O circuits of notebook motherboards.
