The FDMF3170 is onsemi's next generation Smart Power Stage (SPS) module. Designed for CPU and memory voltage regulators, it is optimized for high-current, high-frequency synchronous buck DC-DC converters. It includes integrated MOSFETs and advanced driver IC with current and temperature monitoring sensors. The FDMF3170 provides an output current signal (IMON) that reports real-time module current. The IMON signal can be used to replace inductor DCR current sensing or resistor sensing methods. It also features highly accurate thermal monitoring (TMON) with 0.8V output at 25°C and an 8mV/°C slope. Compatible with Intel VR13 Purley systems.
