Product Features 

The APW8833C is an integrated system power PWM controller with an economy standby mode, designed by Anpec for notebook/sub-notebook computers and portable devices. It features dual step-down, constant-on-time synchronous PWM controllers. These PWM outputs take a high battery voltage between 5.5V and 25V (including 2-cell battery support) and convert it to precise adjustable outputs from 2V to 5.5V via an external resistor divider. Additionally, it houses two independent 100mA Low Dropout Regulators (LDOs) to meet standby power needs; one provides a fixed 5V (LDO5) and the other a fixed 3.3V (LDO3). When the PWM output voltage exceeds the LDO bypass threshold, the respective LDO is shut off, and its output is connected to the PWM output via an internal switchover MOSFET, thereby saving power dissipation. The charge pump circuit, driven by a 250kHz clock signal, uses the PWM1 output to generate an approximately 15V DC voltage. Equipped with comprehensive protection features such as OVP, UVP, OCP (current sensing via Low-Side MOSFETs RDS(ON)), and OTP, this chip is available in a TQFN3x3-20 package.
