The RT8068AZQW is a high-efficiency synchronous step-down (buck) converter designed by Richtek for portable and battery-powered systems. It operates from an input voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V and provides an adjustable regulated output voltage from 0.6V to VIN while delivering up to 3A of continuous output current. The internal synchronous low on-resistance (RDS(ON)) power switches ensure up to 95% efficiency and eliminate the need for an external Schottky diode. With its fixed 1MHz switching frequency and internal compensation, it minimizes the external component count, allowing for a compact design footprint.
