The IT8995E-128 is a high-performance Embedded Controller (EC) and Keyboard Controller (KBC) IC designed by ITE Technology for notebook motherboards. Provided in an industrial LQFP-128 leaded package structure, this hardware manages basic I/O (input/output) processes such as keyboard and touchpad interfaces, power sequencing, battery charge management, and thermal monitoring (fan control, temperature sensors) on the motherboard. As part of the advanced ITE architecture, this controller features an internal 128KB programmable eFlash (Embedded Flash) memory. It is a specific controller used in the I/O and power management circuits of notebook motherboards.
