Product Features 

The IT8786E-I (IT8786E-I BXS) is a highly integrated Super I/O and Hardware Monitor control IC developed by ITE Technology, specifically designed for desktop PC motherboards and embedded systems. Provided in an industrial LQFP-128 package structure, this hardware communicates with the system via the LPC (Low Pin Count) or eSPI interface. It manages hardware processes critical to motherboard stability: it is responsible for monitoring thermal temperature sensors, smart fan speed control (SmartGuardian PWM), precise voltage readings, and managing legacy peripherals (UART/COM, PS/2, etc.). This Super I/O chip does not feature an internal programmable eFlash (Embedded Flash) memory. Due to its hardware architecture, it retrieves its operating instructions directly from the main BIOS (SPI Flash ROM) IC located on the motherboard. Therefore, there is no need to program it after assembly; a functional BIOS on the motherboard is sufficient for it to operate. It plays a central role in the hardware monitoring circuits of PC motherboards and IPC systems.
