The NCP81270MNTXG is a high-performance single-phase voltage regulator IC designed by onsemi specifically for notebook, desktop, and AIO (All-in-One) computer systems. Featuring an integrated power MOSFET driver, this chip operates over a wide input voltage range from 4.5V to 21V. Utilizing onsemi's patented RPM (Rapid Pulse Modulation) control architecture, it delivers exceptional transient response while allowing for smooth transitions between discontinuous-frequency-scaling operation and continuous-mode full-power operation. With its switching frequency configurable up to 600kHz, it enables the use of smaller external inductors and capacitors, significantly saving space on the PCB. Equipped with differential remote output voltage sensing and an ultra-low bias current current monitor amplifier, it performs highly accurate voltage and current tracking. It is a QFN-20 packaged switching controller IC frequently utilized in the auxiliary (AUX) power rail circuits of modern processors (CPU) and graphics units (GPU) conforming to IMVP9 standards.
