The RT6585C is a dual-channel step-down controller designed to generate supply voltages for battery-powered systems. It integrates two Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) controllers with an adjustable output range from 2V to 5.5V, and two fixed 5V/3.3V linear regulators (LDOs). Each LDO can provide up to 100mA of output current, with the 3.3V LDO offering 1% accuracy under 35mA. Featuring a Constant Current Ripple (CCRCOT) control scheme, it provides an ultra-fast 100ns response to load transients without requiring sense resistors. This controller is an ideal power management solution for applications such as notebook and sub-notebook computers, and devices powered by 3-cell or 4-cell Li-Ion batteries.
