The BQ25713RSNR, BQ25713RSNT (BQ25713) is a high-performance I2C Narrow VDC (NVDC) buck-boost battery charge controller designed by Texas Instruments (TI) for laptops and portable smart devices. Operating over a very wide input voltage range from 3.5V to 24V, it is capable of managing the charging operations of 1-cell to 4-cell (1s to 4s) batteries. It is designed to be fully compatible with USB 2.0, USB 3.0, Type-C, and advanced USB-PD (Power Delivery) standards. Thanks to its advanced architecture, it ensures a seamless transition among buck, buck-boost, and boost operations to deliver power from the adapter to the system with maximum efficiency. Utilizing Narrow VDC (NVDC) power path management, it supports instant-on operation even if the battery is completely depleted or removed. It is fully compliant with IMVP8 and IMVP9 standards, meeting the power management requirements of modern processors, and provides a comprehensive PROCHOT profile for CPU throttling. Additionally, it features a highly precise adjustable output from 3V to 20.8V to power up USB ports directly from the battery (USB OTG). It is one of the most frequently encountered power management ICs in new generation laptop motherboards.
