Product Features
The ISL9241 is a digitally configurable buck-boost battery charger manufactured by Renesas, featuring an SMBus interface and USB Power Delivery (USB-PD) support. It supports both Narrow Voltage Direct Charging (NVDC) and Hybrid Power Buck Boost (HPBB/Bypass) charging modes, with the ability to switch between them using firmware control. It takes input power from a wide range of DC power sources such as conventional AC/DC adapters and USB Type-C power ports, and safely charges up to 4-series cell Li-ion batteries. For Intel IMVP compliant systems, it includes System Power monitor (PSYS) functionality that provides an analog signal representing total platform power.
